The Art of Drag Camp

July 27, 2026
July 27–July 31, 2026
9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Ages 12–18

Step into the spotlight and let your creativity shine. In this week-long camp, local teaching artists help campers shape a drag persona—whether brand-new or already in bloom—and prepare it for a full showcase performance. Participants explore custom costume design, craft a stage routine and story arc, experiment with new forms of dance and movement, and build hands-on skills in hair, nails, makeup, and more. At the end of the week, they’ll celebrate with a private showcase featuring their newly polished drag creations.

MOPOP provides everything campers need to get started on their path to fabulosity, including wigs and a costume closet ready for remixing. Each camper also receives their own makeup kit—complete with essentials like face primer, mascara, lip products, and brushes—fully included in the tuition.

Additional personal-use items such as foundation, concealer, blush, or specialty props, wigs, or costume pieces may need to be purchased separately.

Tuition: $480 (includes full makeup kit!)

MOPOP members receive a $25 discount on The Art of Drag camp.
