MOPOP’s Teacher Professional Development occurs throughout the school year and features workshops, tours, curriculum development, and networking opportunities.
Our goal is to create experiences in which teachers engage with pop culture and each other; where we provide useful teaching tools that are interactive, fun, equitable for all learners, and easy to use.

From musicians who use songs as a call to action to photographers who use images as protest, pop culture plays a critical role in activism. Participants will analyze different pop culture works and the “machines” creative folx have produced that we can all use to make a difference. They will then explore their own skills and interests to process collective anger, raise awareness, and let their voices be heard through crafted, personal social justice statements.
