Seattle is one of the world’s most culturally rich travel destinations, with world-class offerings of dining, culture, and entertainment. And right at the center of it all—nestled in the shadow of the iconic Space Needle—sits the Museum of Pop Culture.
From early grunge treasures to indie gaming secrets and modern stop-motion marvels, MOPOP is a landmark that activates the world-shaping power of pop culture through participative experiences, discovery, and play. Planning a trip to Seattle? Be sure to include a stop at MOPOP!
Because pop culture is complex, ever-present, and world-shaping. It defines us, and we define it. It encompasses music, art, fashion, and film. It is a connective force—from people to people, generation to generation, and community to community. In that spirit, MOPOP is a fluid representation of culture that is breaking down silos and redefining what a modern-day museum can be.
The Museum of Pop Culture is located on the Seattle Center campus. You may take the Seattle Monorail, for a fast, direct connection between downtown Seattle and Seattle Center traveling 25 feet above street traffic. Open daily, the train departs every 10 minutes. Visit SeattleMonorail.com for more information.
The Museum of Pop Culture is open from 10:00am to 5:00pm daily, except on Wednesdays. The museum will be closed for a special event on October 24, 2024.
