Sky Church is named after a concept from Jimi Hendrix of a place where people from all backgrounds and beliefs could come together through the power of music. This setting offers a breathtaking 33’ x 60’ HD LED screen, accompanied by state-of-the-art acoustics and a wide variety of lighting effects. The ultimate WOW factor for any occasion, this space is the hub of activity, providing access to the Museum’s wide variety of exhibitions and an optimal place for entertainment features.
The Sound + Vision Theater is an acoustic gem that has fixed seating for 190 guests. With state-of-the-art equipment for video, film, and live performances – this space features a built-in projector and screen for use and is ideal for a meeting or presentation.
East Lobby + Culture Kitchen
With its impressive ceilings and awe-inspiring views of the Frank O. Gehry architecture, our East Lobby is ideal for early morning breakfasts and after-hours receptions. Adjacent to the East Lobby is CULTURE KITCHEN by Wolfgang Puck, which serves as seating for the space. This space also offers easy access to the Central Galleries via the grand staircase and three plasma screens for your content.
The MoPOP Plaza is located at the exterior of the west entrance highlighting stunning views of the Space Needle and Monorail. This outdoor space is a great option for groups to experience the Museum during the warmer months as a stand-alone option, or for receptions in conjunction with Sky Church experiences. A variety of customizable tenting options are available.
Seattle’s Ultimate Block Party, the quintessential experience for 3,000-10,000 guests, is a partnership between the Museum of Pop Culture and the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass.
