The Science Fiction + Fantasy Short Film Festival is officially open for entries, and we want to see what strange, stunning, and spectacular worlds you’ve been dreaming up. Whether you’re bending time, rewriting reality, or animating a dance-off in deep space—if it’s short, sci-fi/fantasy, and brilliant, it belongs at SFFSFF.
About SFFSFF
For over two decades, this annual festival hosted by MOPOP and SIFF has been a cinematic launchpad for genre-bending stories from around the world. We screen animated and live-action short films for devoted live audiences and a panel of nationally recognized film critics.
Past SFFSFF selections have journeyed well beyond the festival, finding international distribution, landing in museum exhibitions, and collecting Academy Award nominations along the way.
