Introducing Saturday Sessions, a brand-new series of FREE, month-long programs for kids 8-18 who want to make, create, and explore music, fashion, gaming, and photography.  

From building tabletop games and learning the art of DJing to exploring hip-hop dance, costume design, and photography, each session offers hands-on experiences led by local artists, educators, and industry professionals.

It's Your Turn: Tabletop Game Design
July 11 - August 1, 2026

Recommended Ages: 8-12

From epic adventures and strategic showdowns to completely original worlds, tabletop games invite us to imagine what comes next.

Join game designer Ashwin Kamath and explore the art of tabletop game design, from crafting compelling mechanics and memorable experiences to playtesting and refining your ideas. You'll collaborate with fellow creators, experiment with new concepts, and discover what it takes to transform an idea into a game worth playing.

The final move? Gathering around the table and watching others play the world you've created.

Make Some Noise: Learn to DJ
August 8-29, 2026

Recommended Ages: 10-14

In this Saturday Session with 206 Zulu, you’ll explore the art of DJing from the ground up. Learn how to mix tracks, experiment with different styles, and build your own signature sound using both turntables and digital tools.  

The session wraps with a special DJ showcase where you’ll step up, take control of the sound, and see what happens when the playlist becomes yours.

Find Your Beat: How to Hip-Hop

Led by 206 Zulu's own Bboy Free (of Circle of Fire and Soul Shifters) and special guests, this dynamic session explores breaking, house, hip-hop dance, capoeira, and more. Learn foundational techniques, discover signature styles, and experiment with combining moves to create your personal flow. Then put it all into action during freestyle moments where you'll step into the spotlight and make the beat your own.

Whether you've been dancing for years or you're just discovering your rhythm, this is your chance to learn from the best, move with confidence, and find your place in the cypher.

Dress the Part: Costume Design
October 10-31, 2026

Welcome to Spooky Season... This October is all about bringing your most imaginative costume concepts to life. Under the guidance of Pakio Galore, you'll learn the techniques that transform fabric into fantasy—from essential sewing skills to the art of embellishment that makes wearable art truly show-stopping. And because every great costume deserves a debut, we'll close the session with an unforgettable Halloween fashion show.

Find Your Perspective: Youth Photography Workshops
November 7-21, 2026

Can a photo say a thousand words? Find out this November in the final Saturday Session of the year.

In partnership with Youth in Focus, you'll explore the art of photography from framing and composition to lighting and visual storytelling. Whether you're already filling your camera roll with creative shots or just beginning to notice the power of perspective, you'll develop the skills to capture the world in a whole new way.

The session concludes with a participant showcase where your photographs take center stage.
