'The Illustrated Man' MoPOP Book Club Watchalong

At 4 p.m. PT this Wednesday, April 29, the Museum of Pop Culture's book club will host a watchalong of the 1969 film The Illustrated Man starring Rod Steiger and Claire Bloom, with a standout performance by a small dog name Peke.

Here are a handful of program elements that you can expect to see on Wednesday:

  • Pre-film introduction with MoPOP staff
  • Cocktails, mocktails, and snack recommendations
  • Chat with book club members during the film
  • Post-film discussion on the film's themes, its hits and misses, and its interpretation of Ray Bradbury’s work
  • Fun contests where you can win a free copy of the The Illustrated Man book
