Jacob McMurray

JACOB MCMURRAY

Chief Collections + Exhibitions Officer

Jacob McMurray joined MoPOP in 1994 during the initial development of the institution and has held several positions, including Curatorial Assistant, Researcher, Associate Curator, Curator, and Senior Curator. During that time, he has organized over twenty exhibitions covering many facets of popular culture. In November 2018, he transitioned to his current role of Director of Curatorial, Collections & Exhibits, overseeing those teams in creating the curatorial vision of MoPOP and developing collaborative, thought-provoking, and community-focused content for the museum’s audiences.

Amalia Kozloff

AMALIA KOZLOFF

Senior Curator

Amalia Kozloff is the Senior Curator at MoPOP and the Curator for Hidden Worlds: The Films of LAIKA. She joined MoPOP in 2019 and has curated multiple exhibitions since then including Body of Work: Tattoo Culture, Rise Up: Stonewall and the LGBTQ Rights Movement, Contact High: A Visual History of Hip Hop, and Ruth Carter: Afrofuturism in Costume Design. She has previously worked at museums, private collections, and galleries throughout the US and Europe.

Adeerya Johnson

ADEERYA JOHNSON

Associate Curator

Adeerya (she/her) has been with MoPOP for nearly three years. She initially joined as the Digital Collections Archivist leading MoPOP’s Online Hip-Hop Collection. During her tenure, she also took on the role of Guest Curator, where she designed her inaugural pop-up exhibit titled "My Mic Sounds Nice: Hip-Hop Feminism in History." In addition to her work at MoPOP, Adeerya is currently in the final year of her doctoral program at The University of British Columbia. Her research centers on dirty south feminism focusing on Southern Hip-Hop Dance cultures in Atlanta.

Stefanie Terasaki

STEFANIE TERASAKI

Registrar, Collections

Stefanie split her time between the Curatorial and Collections departments at MoPOP. She was the Associate Curator for Hidden Worlds: The Films of LAIKA. She started at MoPOP in 2018 and has curated multiple exhibitions including Ruth Carter: Afrofuturism in Costume Design, Contact High: A Visual History of Hip Hop, and Heroes and Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume. She is also the creator of MoPOP’s Guest Curator Program that launched in 2022. Her background includes fundraising, and archives and project management.
