November is Washington's Hip-Hop History Month, and MoPOP is pulling out all the stops Saturday, November 11th to celebrate the legacy and power of the movement that originated some of the world’s most beloved music, art, and culture.

- dancing and hip-hop choreography;

2023 Hometown Hero Award
We couldn’t be prouder to be presenting MoPOP’s 2023 Hometown Hero Award to Sir Mix-A-Lot.
Grammy-winning rapper, songwriter, and producer Sir Mix-A-Lot grew up in Seattle’s Central District and made his hometown famous with his hit “Posse’s on Broadway.”
Sir Mix-A-Lot will be at MoPOP to accept his award on Saturday, November 11 at 1:30pm.
