Set amid the backdrop of the Space Needle, easily accessible from Seattle's downtown core, the museum's colorful sprawling exterior hints at the unusual assembly of interior spaces. MoPOP’s exciting collection of exhibitions, rich pop culture content, unparalleled technology and many unique spaces to choose from offer myriad of options for a truly memorable occasion.

At 5,384 square-feet, Sky Church is a hub of activity at MoPOP. Named after Jimi Hendrix’s ensemble that played Woodstock Festival in 1969, Sky Church offers an awe-inspiring 33’ x 60’ HD LED screen, accompanied by state-of-the-art acoustics that span an enormous wall. Adjacent to the Central Galleries, Sky Church is also equipped with a wide variety of lighting effects. The soaring 65-foot ceiling is illuminated with parasols gently floating overhead, enhancing the ambiance of the space.
Blue Lounge is a dazzling and unconventional contemporary space which includes private elevator access from our Central Galleries, a wet bar, galley kitchen, 52” plasma screen, and a bird’s-eye view of Sky Church.
The Lounge is a fun out-of-the box space which can accommodate up to 100 guests that includes lounge-style soft seating, a custom-made guitar-top bar, three plasma screens, and its own restrooms.
The theater is an acoustic gem with rich black drapery and light-toned wood walls. With state-of-the-art equipment for video, film, and live performances, as well as a built-in projector and screen, the intimate JBL Theater has fixed seating for 191.
With its impressive ceilings and awe-inspiring views of the Frank O. Gehry architecture, our East Lobby is the ideal place to kick off your MoPOP experience. Guests can easily access the Central Galleries via the grand staircase to continue exploring what the museum has to offer. Adjacent to the East Lobby, is CULTURE KITCHEN by Wolfgang Puck. CULTURE KITCHEN is available as an additional area with seating for your guests, adding on greater capacity.
Learning Labs are a flexible space with a moveable air wall allowing it to be subdivided into two distinct rooms. Near our Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame and the JBL Theater, Learning Labs' flexible space can accommodate up to 60 seated guests.
The roomy Outdoor Plaza is located at the exterior of the west side of the building. The 30’ x 90’ square foot tent offers unbelievable views of the Space Needle and is an ideal space to include in your summer experience for up to 150 guests, or the perfect addition to Sky Church or the East Lobby for additional space prior to exploring the museum.
As a fully custom catering service, Wolfgang Puck can design the perfect food and beverage compliment for any visit to the museum. Menu designs range from simple and delicious boxed lunches to innovative noshes as unique as the museum itself.
