Field Trips

Make MoPOP part of your school year! Take advantage of our variety of group resources to make the most of your students' encounters with pop culture.

Because there is a limit on the number of school groups admitted to the museum each day at the discounted education admission price, field trips must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance.

PARKING

The Harrison Street turnaround is for loading and unloading only. To park your vehicle, we suggest using the Seattle Center parking lot with entrances on both Harrison Street and 5th Avenue N. Visitors are responsible for all parking fees.

Limited Seattle Center bus parking is available. For additional information please call the Seattle Center Transportation Office at 206-684-7340.

GROUP ENTRANCE

Groups enter the building at the Harrison Street/Group Entrance on the north end (silver end) of MoPOP. Please have large groups wait outside while the group leader checks in at ticketing.

CHAPERONES

The required chaperone to student ratio is 1:5 for students grades K–6, 1:7 for grades 7–8, and 1:10 for grades 9–12. This is a minimum requirement but for general field trips there is no limit to the number of chaperones you can bring. Groups arriving with fewer than the required chaperones will not be permitted to enter the exhibitions. During your visit, chaperones must remain with their students at all times as it is their responsibility to maintain orderly student behavior. We reserve the right to ask your group to leave if group or individual student or chaperone conduct is inappropriate or in violation of museum policies. Chaperone limits do apply to investigation workshops.
