Teacher or Educator Groups
MoPOP celebrates pop culture’s ability to foster critical thinking, creativity, and innovation. We use our interactive exhibitions and hands-on activities to help your students make connections between popular music, storytelling, writing, movies, comics, and your classroom curriculum.
Eligible education groups qualify for a discounted general museum admission of $6.00 per person for K-12 groups or $10 per person for college/university groups. To qualify, reservations must be made by a teacher (K-12, homeschool, college/university, etc.), school administrator, or designated parent representative.
All education visits include an orientation and self-guided gallery access for the day. Enhance your visit by adding an in-museum workshop with a skilled and fun educator!
The following offerings for students K–12 will help students and teachers to extend their learning experience above and beyond the classroom walls.
Please note: Online educational group reservations are available seven days a week. School visits must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance.
Transportation reimbursement is available to limited number of qualified groups. To be considered please complete the application form three weeks before your scheduled visit.
Add an in-museum workshop for your class of up to 30 students. Align language arts, social studies, science, music, and visual arts learning objectives through engaging hands-on, student-centered workshops. These 45-60 minute classes include gallery visits and suggestions for taking learning back into your classroom. Please note: these workshops can only be booked through emails or calls with MoPOP staff and not online.
For more information on in-museum workshops, school visits and availability for booking a group, contact Carlos Marquez, Education Program Coordinator, at CarlosM@MoPOP.org, or call 206-262-3239.
