SUMMARY

The Group Sales Manager will be exclusively focused on the objective of producing revenue through the sale of group tickets for MoPOP. The individual should be self-motivated and goal driven while focused on increasing the affinity of our customers and have a strong commitment to quality and service.
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED)

  • Develop a year-round sales strategy for group ticket sales, including:
    • Creating marketing plans and sales collateral
    • Evaluating and implementing new group benefits and policies
    • Streamlining group sales revenue by working closely with the Education Group Coordinator and helping drive strategy for education and community groups
    • Building relationships with tourism organizations, community groups, educational properties and other business accounts
  • Prospecting, qualifying and setting sales appointments
  • Meets weekly and monthly KPI and touchpoint requirements with calls, emails, and in person appointments
  • Managing and reporting weekly on a pipeline of prospects
  • Meeting or exceeding weekly, monthly and/or long term sales goals
  • Scheduling and processing payment for groups
  • Surveying groups post-visit and aggregating the feedback, offering suggestions to the senior leadership team based on the results
  • Gather data and insight on existing client base to set up renewal goals for future planning
  • Collaborate with other departments on their events & initiatives to enhance group buyers’ experience
  • Providing excellent care and quality service to all customers/prospects
  • Working in harmony with team members and those from other departments
  • Assisting management with sales campaigns, events and activities that may occur after hours
  • Occasional travel to sales conferences to build relationships with international and national tour operators
     

QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of ticket sales experience required
  • Experience with Salesforce, Tessitura, or similar CRM preferred
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and hitting sales goals
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent customer services skills
  • Ability to solve problems quickly
  • Effective organizational skills, outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to interface at all levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while organizing work and achieving excellent results on schedule
  • Self-starter, good at multitasking and networking
  • Demonstrate a high level of energy and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly verbal
  • Have a passion for getting others excited about contemporary pop culture
