Love it or hate it, it's hard to avoid the fact that the gelatinous meat product known as Spam has become an icon of American pop Culture. From its beginnings as an affordable substitute to 'real' food, Spam (an acronym for Spiced Meat and Ham) has been a staple as well as the brunt of jokes, associated with trailer parks and everything processed in American culture.

                     

Ironically the most natural of all 50 states, Hawaii continues to consume the most amount of Spam per capita, making it synonymous with Hula dancing, Mai Tais, and coconuts.
