Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame

Honoring the lives, work, and ongoing legacies of science fiction and fantasy's greatest creators and creations.

Some people don’t just create new worlds and memorable characters—they redefine them. From Asimov to The X-Files, the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame celebrates the creators and works that have opened new avenues of discovery and made significant contributions to the genres.

Founded in 1996, the Hall of Fame was relocated from the Gunn Center for the Study of Science Fiction at the University of Kansas to its permanent home at MoPOP in 2004. Nominations are accepted from the public and the final inductees are chosen by a committee of industry experts.

The new Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame exhibit opens Saturday, March 4, 2017.

Nominations for 2017 inductees open now through April 16. Nominate next year's inductees!
